Gary Kayye, CTS, Chief Visionary, Kayye Consulting, Inc

Gary Kayye, CTS is the chief visionary at Kayye Consulting, a Chapel Hill, NC-based firm specializing in marketing consulting and training development services to the professional AV market. Recognized as ICIA’s Educator of the Year, Gary is a columnist Sound and Communications magazine and founder and editor of a ProAV eNewsletter rAVe. Prior to forming Kayye Consulting, he spent 11 years at Extron and AMX as VP of Sales and Marketing and has served on the ICIA Board of Governors and he donates much of his time as an active educational leader in the ProAV market. Mr. Kayye graduated with a degree in marketing and advertising from the University of North Carolina.


Richard D Reynolds, Cisco Networking Academy Program Coordinator and Lead Instructor, Pikes Peak Community College

Since January 2007, as the Project Manager/Curriculum Developer, and Instructor Trainer he has created Transition Training Academies at multiple military medical holding facilities. This project, funded by Cisco and the U.S. Department of Labor, Veterans' Employment & Training is designed to provide entry level IT training to disabled veterans of the Afghan and Iraq theaters.

Richard’s full-time position is Cisco Networking Academy Program Coordinator and Lead Instructor, Pikes Peak Community College (PPCC), Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has taught at PPCC for almost 18 years working part-time until 1994 when he sold his networking company. He holds a number of industry certifications and continues to consult on small to medium size networks.

He also volunteers as the Chair of the Distance Learning College of CEDIA University and as an instructor for CU on the Road across the country.

Richard has contributed to the Networking Academy program in the capacities of author, editor, beta tester, and subject matter expert. He also developed curriculum for Cisco Learning Institute and certification exam questions for CompTIA.

Bill Whitlock, President and Chief Engineer, Jensen Transformers

Bill Whitlock has designed professional audio/video electronics for 34 years and has been president of Jensen Transformers since 1989. His lectures, seminars and writings have helped thousands unravel the mysteries of grounding and interfacing. Writings include numerous AES papers, dozens of magazine articles and white papers, as well as several chapters in Glen Ballou's "Handbook for Sound Engineers." He’s been a guest lecturer at MIT and several other universities. His patents include the InGenius® balanced input circuit and the ExactPower® voltage regulator. He’s a fellow of the Audio Engineering Society and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.


Alan Brawn, President, Brawn Consulting

Alan Brawn is a principal of Brawn Consulting LLC an audio visual consulting, educational development, and market intelligence firm with national exposure to major manufacturers and integrators in the industry. He was formerly President of Telanetix and previously National Business Development and Product Marketing Manager, Pro AV Group, Samsung Electronics. Brawn is an AV industry veteran with experience spanning over 2 decades including years managing a commercial AV systems integration company after which he became one of the founding members of Hughes-JVC. He is a recognized author for leading AV industry magazines and newsletters such as Systems Contractor News, Digital Signage Quarterly, Rental & Staging, Display Daily, and Electrograph’s Emerge. Brawn is an Imaging Science Foundation Fellow and the Managing Director of ISF Commercial. Alan is CTS certified and an adjunct faculty member of Infocomm sitting on their PETC council. He is an NSCA instructor and Learning Unit Provider. He was the recipient of the Pro AV Hall of Fame recognition from rAVe in 2004.


Chuck Kittelson, Director of Strategic Planning, Atlantic Technology

Kittelson has over a quarter century of experience in consumer electronics marketing and sales. He was previously Director of Sales for Audio Design Associates, Director of Sales & Marketing for Parasound Products, and has held a variety of other staff and consulting positions in both the manufacturing and distribution sectors of the industry.


Dave Petricig, Director of Channel Sales, Spire Global

Dave Petricig joins Spire Global's management team as Director of Channel Sales for the U.S., with over 13 years of sales experience in the video, audio and web conferencing industry. Dave's responsibilities include growing the U.S. reseller base both direct and indirect for Sony products, managing the network of distributors across the country and building Spire Global's U.S. network of manufacturer reps.
Prior to joining Spire Global, Dave was with ClearOne Communications where he held a similar title as Director of North America Channel Sales. During Dave's career at ClearOne he was a key contributor on the sales team that drove year over year double digit revenue growth. ClearOne's drive to become a force in the tabletop conferencing space was lead by Dave having managed the personal, tabletop and premium conferencing product lines, and was responsible for growing these products into industry leaders.
Dave holds a BA degree from Illinois State University.


Erik van der Tol Ph.D., Globabl Product Manager, Philips 3D Solutions

Erik van der Tol Ph.D., Global Product Manager of Philips 3D Solutions. Mr. Van der Tol is a very experienced and knowledgeable trainer that has been working in 3D for more than 5 years now and will give a lively training, where presentations, demos and team interaction will be alternated.


Patrick Gilligan, North Atlantic Regional Manager for HAI

Patrick Gilligan is the North Atlantic Regional Manager for HAI. Prior to assuming this role, Patrick held the same position but covered New England and Eastern Canada . Patrick travels the U.S. conducting national trainings on all facets of HAI's award-winning product line including lighting, HVAC, security, and whole house audio for the comfort, convenience and safety of homeowners. He sits on the board of advisors for Lincoln Technical's automation division in Union, NJ. Patrick has been employed with HAI since 2004 and currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.


Steven Platt, Director and Research Fellow, Platt Retail Institute

As director and research fellow at the Platt Retail Institute, Steven Platt offers a wealth of experience and insight on retail research, consulting and analytics to help businesses become more profitable. He is a leading authority on digital communications networks, having published several major research papers as well as articles in journals including Digital Signage Quarterly, Display & Design Ideas Magazine, POP Magazine, the Journal of Mergers and Acquisitions, the Computing Technology Industry Association’s Computing Channels Magazine, and the Corporate Legal Times.

He is a member of the Executive Advisory Board at the University of Florida Center for Retailing Education and Research and the Retail Advertising and Marketing Association, and an Associate Member of the American Collegiate Retailing Association and the National Retail Federation. Steven holds a B.S. in finance and marketing, a law degree and an L.L.M. from Boston University.


Bill Raimondi, Market Development Manager, Crown Audio

With 20+ years of experience in consumer and professional electronics sales and marketing; Bill has recently been a driving force in the development of Crown’s highly successful commercial audio products.  As part of Crown’s Sales and Marketing team; Bill has been involved in the product development and distribution management of Crown’s Commercial Series products as well as training and support initiatives.  Before his tenure at Crown, Bill spent 15 years at TMI Products, JVC and Alpine Electronics in a wide range of sales and marketing roles.


Jim Peters, Marketing and Sales Representative, JBL Professional

Jim has 25+ years of professional audio experience consisting of Music Retail, Pro Sound System Contractor and Marketing and Sales.  Jim is currently an account manager for JBL Pro’s Sales & Marketing Company in metro NY, Sigmet Corp. where he has been working closely with dealers developing JBL Pro’s line up of Control Contractor ceiling and surface mount speakers.


Paul Ackermann, Regional Sales Manager, EK3 Technologies Inc.

Paul has extensive experience in sales and marketing, having worked with companies of all sizes, from small proprietorships to multi-national corporations, over the last 25 years. Holding positions in sales, product management and sales management, Paul has developed a keen understanding of the needs of today’s businesses. Most recently working within the office technology industry, his role was to assist businesses by leveraging new technology to improve financial and employee performance. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and uses it as a base, building his knowledge and understanding of business on a daily basis.


Chuck Wilson, Executive Director, National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA)

Chuck Wilson is the executive director of the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA), the leading not-for-profit association representing the commercial electronic systems industry. At the helm of NSCA, much of Wilson’s time is spent assisting contractors with the challenges of today’s business environment. He often gives lectures and presentations at key industry events and has been published in numerous leading trade journals, including Sound & Communications, Sound & Video Contractor, Systems Contractor News, Archi-Tech and ProAV. Wilson serves on the executive committee for Integrated Systems Events, LLC, and is a member of the Audio Engineering Society, the American Society of Association Executives, and the Construction Specification Institute. Wilson was the recipient of CSI’s Technical Commendation Award for his work on the MasterFormat™ Expansion Task Team. Wilson joined the NSCA staff as executive director in 1996. Prior to joining NSCA, Wilson was a partner at Communications Engineering Company, a successful low-voltage electronics contracting company.
